In my first foray into theatrical set model making, I designed and constructed a set model for "Cambodian Rock Band," a musical play that deals with the intergenerational effects of the Khmer Rouge through the lost art of 70s Cambodian rock music. Centering around a father and daughter, the production deals with themes of trauma, memory, and time.
After storyboarding and creating a white model, I completed a full color model of my set at 1/4" scale. The model was designed around the Pigott Theater at Stanford University.
