On December 27, 2024, my niece Adrienne was born. To celebrate, I wanted to make her something that would spark her imagination and creativity as she grew up. Reading was a central part of my siblings' and my childhoods--I owe much of who I am today to the fantasy books my siblings passed down to me. So, I decided to build Adrienne her own magical bookshelf. Designed and built from scratch with a light-up diorama inside, the bookshelf is inspired by the art of Mary Blair as well as many of my beloved books and films.
